Etnies started life in 1986 as 'Etnics' taken from the Ethnic lifestyle of the skateboarding community the trainers were aimed at. Etnies was the first shoe manufacturer owned by a Skateboarder, Pierre Andre Senizergues, and has pioneered the way we look at skateboarding footwear both in terms of design and technology. Etnies have led the way in developing footwear specifically for the skate and surf industry and provided some of the top footwear that we see across todays active sports.
